Make images smaller,
right in your browser.
Compress and convert JPG, PNG and WebP. Drop a file, pull the quality dial, download something lighter.
Drop images here
or browse your files · JPG, PNG, WebP · they never leave this page
How it works
No account, no upload queue, no watermark. Your browser does the compression using the same image engine behind every website you visit.
Drop your images
Add one file or a whole batch. Everything stays in this browser tab — files are never sent to a server.
Dial in the size
Slide the quality control and watch the savings meter move. Convert to WebP for the biggest drop.
Download lighter files
Grab each image, or zip the whole batch in one click. Free, every time, with no cap.
Questions people ask
Do my images get uploaded anywhere?
No. Packfinch runs entirely in your browser. The moment you drop a file, it is decoded and re-compressed on your own device — nothing is transmitted, stored, or seen by us. You can even turn off your internet after the page loads and it still works.
Which format should I pick?
WebP almost always produces the smallest file at the same visual quality, and it is supported by every modern browser. Choose JPG if you need maximum compatibility with older tools, or PNG when you need a transparent background.
Is there a file size or batch limit?
No hard limit. Very large images use more of your device's memory, so extremely big batches may be slower on older phones — but there is no artificial cap and no paywall.
Is it really free?
Yes. Packfinch is free to use and kept running by the ads on this page. No sign-up, no trial, no "pro" tier hiding the useful buttons.
More tools are coming
Packfinch is growing into a small family of fast, private file tools — image resizing, PDF compression, format converters and more. Same rule every time: it runs in your browser, and it stays free.
